Wobig Listed Among WBCA All-Americans

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) has named Northwestern women's basketball senior Ashtyn Wobig as an All-American Honorable Mention, acknowledging her outstanding contributions on the court this season.

Wobig, a standout performer from Salem, South Dakota, demonstrated exceptional skill and leadership throughout the 2025-26 campaign. She led the team in scoring with 421 points at 14.0 points per game, showcasing her offensive prowess. Her performance placed her fifth in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) for free throw percentage, where she shot 81.3% from the line.

Wobig's season was highlighted by several key achievements and milestones. She played in all 30 games, amassing 143 field goals made and 91 free throws made. Her all-around abilities were further evident as she contributed 155 rebounds, 67 assists, 30 steals, and eight blocks. Wobig's shooting accuracy was notable, as she went 143-for-339 from the field, 44-for-122 on three-pointers, and 91-for-112 at the free throw line.

Among her standout performances was a career-high 32-point game at Benedictine (Kan.) on December 19, where she shot 8-for-17 from the field, 5-for-8 on three-pointers, and 11-for-14 from the free throw line. She also recorded a career-high 11 rebounds in games against Dordt on November 19 and Doane on January 31, 2026. Additionally, she dished out a season-high seven assists twice, against Doane on November 15 and at Midland on January 24.
