David Bomgaars (
Denver, Colo.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his tennis career at Northwestern College this fall.
Bomgaars completed an outstanding four-year career playing for Valor Christian High School. Bomgaars posted a 16-1 record last fall and finished as the state runner-up while earning all-state honors. He was named the conference player of the year and earned all-conference accolades for the fourth straight season.

"I am very excited to have David join us next fall," said Northwestern head coach
Monte Tilgner. "David is a four time state qualifier in the biggest class in Colorado with his only loss in doubles this year was in the championship match. David is a very talented serve and volley player who will make an immediate impact on our team. I am looking forward to seeing him grow as a man of faith and continually improve his tennis game while at Northwestern College." Â
Bomgaars finished his career with a 46-13 overall record and as a four-time state qualifier. He was a three-time regional champion and placed second and third at the state tournament. A member of the National Honor Society, Bomgaars plans to study Business / Finance at Northwestern. He is the son of Mike and Lorna.
"I chose to continue my tennis career and education at Northwestern because of its sense of community among the students, faculty and coaching staff," said Bomgaars. "Northwestern is a place where they focus on Christ; and that is very important to me."
