ORANGE CITY, Iowa – The No. 21-ranked Northwestern College men's soccer team (10-1-1, 6-0 GPAC) scores four goals in back-to-back matches, downing the Tigers of Dakota Wesleyan University (2-10, 1-4 GPAC) to pick up their tenth win of the season.
The No. 21-ranked Red Raiders are red hot starting league play this season, winning their first six matches of the league schedule and outscoring opponents 16-3 in Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) play, including four wins being shutout victories. Five of the six victories in league play have come at home from the NWC Soccer Complex.
The Raiders controlled the ball for practically the entire match, putting up a whopping 20 shots in the shutout victory over the Tigers, compared to DWU's four total shots on the night.
Tim Kaltenberger (So., Cologne, Germany/Max Ernst Gymnasium) got the scoring started early for the Raiders with a 3
rd minute goal, netting his first-career collegiate goal as the Raiders would not look back.

Stan van den Beld (Fr., Voorhout, Netherlands/Rijnlands Lyceum Sassenheim) would find European teammate
Niklas Fitter (Fr., Sankt Augustin, Germany/Rhein Sieg Gymnasium) to extend the Raider lead to 2-0 as Northwestern would take that 2-0 lead into the half.
Most of the second half was quiet but the Raiders exploded late with two goals in the final ten minutes of play to match their season-high in goals scored – set on Saturday against Jamestown.

Juan Mackrey (Balcare, Argentina/Georgia Military College) nets his sixth goal of the season in the 84
th minute, finding room in the bottom left corner of the net with the assist credited to
Luc Roelofs (So., Nederasselt, Netherlands/Kandinsky College).
In the 86
th minute of action, van den Beld would cap off the Raider offensive explosion with a penalty kick goal, netting his second goal of the season.
With his offense controlling the ball most of the match, all two-time GPAC Defensive Player of the Week
Ezekiel Foltz (Jr., Sioux Center, Iowa/Sioux Center) had to do was sit back and enjoy as he only collected one save on the evening, but picked up his tenth win in the net.
