Caitlin Ostbye (
Mitchell, S.D.) has signed a letter of intent to continue her track and field career at Northwestern College next fall.

Ostbye has competed multiple seasons in track and field, gymnastics and power lifting for Mitchell High School. A four-year letter winner in track, Ostbye has the seventh fastest 100m time (12.76) and is part of the third fastest 4x100 relay in school history (12.76). She has qualified for state in several events the last three years (100m, 200m, 4x100 and 4x200) and has personal bests of 27.32 in the 200m and 67.3 in the 400m. Ostbye plans to study exercise science at Northwestern and is the daughter of Mike and Kim.
"We are thrilled to have Caitlin join our women's track and field in the fall," commented Northwestern Head Coach
Scott Bahrke. "She is a very talented and driven sprinter who has had a strong high school career. Caitlin is an outstanding teammate whose passion for running is contagious."
