Women's Soccer Concludes Season Against Mount Marty

Game Time... The Northwestern College women's soccer team concludes its season this weekend with a home match against Mount Marty. Saturday's game is scheduled to begin at 5pm and will be played on Korver Field. 

The Raiders are in ninth place in the current GPAC standings with a 4-7 record, 4-7-1 overall; Mount Marty sits in 11th place in the current GPAC standings with a 2-8-1 league mark, 2-9-1 overall. This is the final game of the season for both teams.

All-Time...Northwestern is 18-0 all-time against the Lancers with the first match dating back to the 2002 season. Last year, the Raiders earned a 3-0 win against Mount Marty; Audrey Leyen scored a goal and had one assist. 

Scouting Reports...

    Mount Marty Lancers: 2-8-1 (11th), 2-9-1 overall            Head Coach: Neil Mancktelow (3rd year)


The Lancers are winless in their last three games and are 1-5-1 over their last seven matches, their only victory a 1-0 (OT) against Doane. They tied College of Saint Mary 2-2 last time out and were defeated soundly by Briar Cliff (8-0) and Hastings (3-0) prior to that. 

Mancktelow is near the end of his third season as the Lancers head coach and spent three years prior as one of the assistants at the University of South Dakota. He returns four starters, eight players from a 2019 team that went 2-10 in the GPAC, 3-10 overall.

The Raiders split their last two games, defeating Presentation (1-0) and dropping a 3-1 decision at the hands of Midland. They are in ninth place in the current standings with a 4-7 record, 4-7-1 overall.
