Drew Dykstra (
Urbandale, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his baseball career at Northwestern College next fall.
Dykstra has played two years for the Urbandale High Scholl baseball team heading into his final season next summer. A standout pitcher and outfielder, Dykstra hit .304 with 20 runs scored and 12 RBIs in leading his team to the state semifinals last summer. He also went 3-0 with four saves on the mound, striking out 37 batters in 23.1 innings.
A second team all-conference selection as a junior, Dykstra and was part of an Urbandale team that won the state title both in 2018 and 2019. Also a letter winner and all-conference player in basketball, Dykstra plans to study Exercise Science or Sport Management at Northwestern. He is the son of Scott and Pamela.
