Katlyn Wiese (Holstein, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her running career at Northwestern College next fall.

Wiese recently completed her fourth and final season running for the Ridge View High School cross-country team. A four-time state qualifier, Wiese finished 18^th at the state meet as a senior and 19^th as a junior. She won the conference championship last fall and earned all-conference honors all four years. Wiese has a personal best 5K time of 20:09.

A three-year letter winner in track and field heading into her final season this spring, Wiese has personal bests of 5:35 in the 1500m and 12:00 in the 3000m. She is a member of both the honor roll and National Honor Society while also being named to the Academic All-State Cross Country team as a senior. Wiese plans to major in both Accounting and Political Science at Northwestern and is the daughter of Shane and Jan.

"She is a very motivated and driven runner who has experienced great success in high school. Katlyn is an outstanding teammate and encourager who puts her team first.
