Red Raiders Climb To Second In Coaches' Poll

Northwestern College moved up five spots in this week's NAIA Volleyball Coaches' poll announced earlier today by the national office.

Ranked seventh in the preseason poll, Northwestern moved up to second in the Sept. 11 poll, matching the highest ranking in program history (T2nd in 2009). The Red Raiders are 12-0 this season, one of four unbeaten teams still remaining in the NAIA. They totaled 564 points and nine first place votes.

Northwestern is one of seven GPAC teams recognized in this week's poll, joining Midland (9), Jamestown (13), Dordt (19), College of Saint Mary (T25), Morningside (RV) and Doane (RV). 

Missouri Baptist holds the top spot in this week's coaches poll, earning 11 first place votes and totaling 577 points. Park (Mo.), Indiana Wesleyan and Southern Oregon round out the top five.
