The Red Raider Women's Soccer program signed Janaya Battles to join their program in 2020. It is the program's first committed recruit of the 2020 class.

Battles (Gilbert, Iowa) is a 5'3' defender/midfielder and current student of Gilbert High School. Battles has been a 2 year, soon to be 3 year starter for the 

"We are very excited to have Janaya join us in 2020," commented head coach Ben Karnish. "She is a great teammate and a very hard worker and will be impactful for our program. She is a player that can play in many spots on the field and will be fun to see develop while at Northwestern."

Battles is planning to study Physical Therapy while at Northwestern.
