Game 1- Northwestern 6 vs. Hastings 2

Alec Rickabaugh went the distance for the Red Raiders going seven innings allowing four hits, two unearned runs, while striking out two. The junior now moves 3-2 on the season.

Mason O'Donnell scored the first run for the Raiders in the top of the third when Ben De Boer grounded into a double play. Hastings quickly answered in the bottom half picking up a run and then took the lead in the bottom of the fourth with an RBI ground out by Logan O'Neill. Britton Yoder came up with a two-out single,stole second and scored on a De Boer single, driving in the speedy Yoder from second to tie the game at two.

In the sixth, Drew Schutt hit a one-out double and Alex Fuhs pinch ran for Schutt. With two outs, Josh Fakkema hit a single, scoring Fuhs to give the Red Raiders a 3-2 lead. Northwestern added three insurance runs in the seventh with both Colton Harold and A.J. Nitzschke coming up with RBI singles.

Game 2- Northwestern 18 vs. Hastings 4

Brady Roberts got the win on the mound going six innings allowing two hits, one run, and striking two batters out. The freshman is 3-2 on the season.

All nine of the Red Raider starters had a hit in game two. Ben De Boer and Sutton Derr each had three hits. Austin Zylstra, Drew Schutt, A.J. Nitzschke chipped in with two hits a piece. Britton Yoder, Colton Harold, Mason O'Donnell, Alex Fuhs and Zachary Rosson also had a hit. Zylstra and Derr led the way each having four RBI's in the contest.

Raiders are back in action tomorrow 4/2 @ Doane University.
