McKenzie Norton (
Mitchell, S.D.) has signed a letter of intent to continue her track and field career at Northwestern College next fall.
Norton, a 5'4" sprinter / pole vaulter, has competed four years for Mitchell High School heading into her final season in the spring. Norton ranks among her school's all-time top 10 in both the 100m dash (13.0), set during her junior year, and pole vault, set during her sophomore season. A member of the National Honor Society and also the student body president, Norton plans to major in elementary education at Northwestern.
"We are excited to have McKenzie join our Red Raider track and field team," said Northwestern head coach
Scott Bahrke. "She is a talented sprinter who possesses great work ethic and an infectious smile. McKenzie will add depth to our sprint crew for the next four years."
