Lane Caballero (Lake Jackson, Texas) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

Caballero is a 5'11", 185-pound quarterback who played three years for the Brazoswood High School football team. Caballero totaled 2,700 yards and 27 touchdowns in earning all-county honors. He completed 68% of his pass attempts and threw for 2,350 yards and 24 touchdowns. Caballero was named one of the top 50 quarterbacks in the state of Texas and earned academic all-state honors. He plans to major in sports management / exercise science at Northwestern and is the son of Jason and Amanda.

"Lane is an outstanding leader and will be a valuable addition to our team," stated Northwestern Head Coach Matt McCarty. "He is an accurate passer with a strong arm. We are thrilled that Lane will continue his playing career for the Red Raiders."
