Dakota Johnson (
Garretson, S.D.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

Johnson is a 5'9", 285-pound offensive / defensive lineman who had a standout four-year career playing for Garretson High School. Johnson is a two-time all-state center, earning the honor both his junior and senior years. On defense, he totaled 43 tackles, registered 2.5 sacks and broke up two passes in leading his team to the state semifinals last fall with a 10-1 record. Johnson was named Elite 45 Honorable Mention and is a two-time all-conference selection. A member of the National Honor Society, Johnson plans to major in Education / Business Management at Northwestern. He is the son of Mike and Kim.
"Dakota comes from an excellent high school program at Garretson," said Northwestern Head Coach
Matt McCarty. "He already has great size and is a physical football player. Dakota will be a great tone-setter for our program."
