Softball At Presentation This Weekend

Game Time...Northwestern College resumes its 2019 season with a doubleheader against Presentation (S.D.) this weekend in Aberdeen, S.D. First pitch on Friday, Feb. 22, is scheduled for 2pm at the PC Dome, North Field. The Red Raiders went 1-3 last weekend in games played in Arkansas while Presentation is 1-5 so far this season.

All-Time...The Red Raiders are 3-0 all-time in games played against Presentation, sweeping two from the Saints in 2016 (1-0, 4-1) and earning a 7-5 victory the year prior in 2015. 

Scouting Reports...

    Presentation Saints:  1-5        Head Coach: Mari Cereno-Jordan (2nd year)

The Saints are 1-5 so far this season, losing five straight before defeating Dordt in the second game of a doubleheader last week 3-2. They have losses to Jamestown (2), Valley City State, Dordt and Dakota Wesleyan and have been outscored 45-19. 

Cereno-Jordan begins her second season as the head of the Saints program, returning five starters and nine players from a 2018 team that finished tied for sixth in the North Star Athletic Association regular season at 9-17, 19-32 overall. Presentation was picked fifth of eight teams in the NSAA preseason poll.

The Red Raiders went 1-3 last weekend, losing three games to a ranked Lyon (Ark.) squad before coming back with a 5-3 win over Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.). Northwestern was outscored 22-10 in the four games.
