Dylann Van Berkum (Rock Rapids, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

Van Berkum is a 6'0", 180-pound defensive back and wide receiver who played two years for the Central Lyon / George-Little Rock High School football team. Van Berkum accounted for 20 tackles and three interceptions in leading his team to the state playoffs last season. A member of the honor roll, Van Berkum plans to major in elementary education at Northwestern. He is the son of Sean and Cassie Van Berkum and Sara Vogel.

"Dylann comes from an outstanding high school program with great tradition," commented Northwestern Head Coach Matt McCarty. "He possesses good football instincts and has a knack of making plays in the secondary. Dylann will be a great fit in our secondary and we look forward to working with him over the next four years."
