The Red Raiders (8-7, 5-3 GPAC) dominated Mount Marty College (5-8-1, 3-5-1 GPAC) Wednesday night, winning 4-0.
Northwestern started off strong holding the majority of the possession and that possession turned into a goal in the 20th minute for
Jake Foscalina.
Chris Ten Pas had the assist to Foscalina.
The Raider possession would snowball at the end of the first half and result in goals in the final 5 minutes.
Gijs Dingemans would score in the 42nd minute and
Ben Hengst, assisted by
Anselmo Kim, would score in the 44th minute to take the Raiders to a 3-0 halftime lead.
The second half would see much of the same from the Raiders with dominating the possession in the match and it would lead to another great build up and another NWC goal by
Jake Foscalina, his team leading 10th goal on the season.Â
The Raiders, although not mathematically qualified for the GPAC Tournament, put themselves in a a solid position to lock in a spot in the postseason.
"Execution of the game plan was really well done by the guys tonight," commented head coach
Dan Swier. "We scored some nice team goals due to our combination play and good runs into the box. Another clean sheet, another win!"
The Raiders travel to Midland University Saturday for a 3:15pm kickoff.
