Volleyball Maintains Spot In NAIA Coaches' Poll

The Northwestern College volleyball team maintained its spot in this week's edition of the NAIA Coaches' poll released earlier today by the national office.

The Red Raiders are ranked second for the second consecutive coaches' poll, totaling 579 points and eight of 21 first place votes. One of just two teams left unbeaten in 2019, Northwestern trails only Missouri Baptist in the Oct. 2 poll. The Spartans received the remaining first place votes and totaled 584 points. 

Northwestern is one seven teams from the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) recognized in this week's poll; Midland (8), Jamestown (13), Dordt (22), Morningside (25), Briar Cliff (RV) and Concordia (RV). 

Indiana Wesleyan, the other unbeaten team left in the NAIA, is ranked third with a 20-0 record, followed by Viterbo (Wis.) and Eastern Oregon.
