Leonardo Lima Silveira (
York, Neb.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.
Silveira is a 5'9", 190-pound running back and defensive back who played two years for Nebraska Lutheran High School. Silveira earned all-state honorable mention and first team all-area honors after leading his team to the state playoffs with a 9-2 record his senior year. He plans to major in athletic training at Northwestern and is the son of Josias Silveira and Silvania Santos Lima.
"Leo has excellent vision and instincts as a running back," commented Northwestern head football coach
Matt McCarty. "We are excited to have Leo come to Northwestern and be part of our football program. He will compete for time and will add depth to our backfield."
