Grant Christy (Urbandale, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his baseball career at Northwestern College beginning next fall.

Christy is a 6'2" catcher and corner infielder who has played three years for Des Moines Christian High School heading into his final season. For his career, Christy has hit .276 with 39 runs scored, eleven doubles, two home runs and 38 RBIs. Christy landed all-conference honorable mention accolades as well as taking home Gold Glove honors as a junior. In addition, Christy was a member of the Des Moines Christian golf team that placed third at the state tournament last year. A member of both the honor roll and National Honor Society, Christy is the son of Geoff and Cynthia.

"Grant is a good signee for us," expressed Northwestern head coach Brian Wede. "He is a physical catcher with a good skill set who will fit in well with our team. We are anxious to get him on campus and believe he is a great fit for what we are looking for in our athletes; good baseball player, good student, and great person."
