Sarah Cotton (
Ida Grove, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her track and field career at Northwestern College next fall.
Cotton is a three-year letter winner for the OA-BCIG High School track and field team heading into her final season this spring. A three-time state qualifier as a sprinter, Cotton finished fourth at state in the 4x200 relay and fifth as a member of the 4x100 relay. She also qualified for the Drake Relays the last two years and competed in both the AAU Junior Olympics and USATF Junior Olympics. Cotton has personal bests of 13.06 in the 100m, 27.5 in the 200m and 1:03 in the 400m. An honor roll student, Cotton plans to major in exercise science at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Mary Renze and David Cotton.
