Ayeni, Holscher Pick Up Wins Against Morningside

Northwestern fell to Morningside 6-3 in a GPAC match-up played today in Sioux City, Iowa. The Red Raiders drop to 1-2 in conference play, 5-5 overall.

Yemisi Ayeni and Zoe Holscher combined for all three wins for the Red Raiders, beginning with an 8-2 win in the top doubles slot. The duo evened their record to 5-5 on the year. Ayeni followed with a 6-4, 6-3 straight sets win over Cassie Stanek at No.1 singles, her team-leading seventh win of the season. Holscher earned a 7-6, 7-3 victory at No.2 singles over Ons Souissai, improving her record to 6-4.

Northwestern will play Mount Marty in Yankton, S.D. on April 18.
