College of Saint Mary is tied with Mount Marty for ninth place in conference play with a 1-5 record, 1-10 overall.

The Flames picked up their first win of the season last time out, defeating Doane 58-57 in overtime at home Wednesday night. A'leah Davis led the Flames with 15 points and 11 rebounds and converted a pair of free throws with 13 seconds left to put the Flames in front for good. College of Saint Mary has lost to Hastings, Morningside, Dordt, Concordia and Mount Marty in GPAC play and is currently tied for ninth place in the standings.Â
Flanagan, now in his third season as the Flames' head coach, took over the program in 2015 after a stint as high school boys coach in the Omaha area. He returns two starters and five players from a 2016-17 squad that finished 11th in the GPAC with a 2-18 record, 7-22 overall.Â
