Box Score Northwestern jumps out early and defeats Jamestown 2-0.
Northwestern College played the University of Jamestown Friday Evening. The Raiders took care of business and defeated the Jimmies 2-0 and improve to 3-4 on the season. With the loss the Jimmies move to 4-2.
The Raiders got a goal ten minutes into the match from Paige Drenth assisted by Jennifer Inge.
They were not done scoring in the first half when Tatiana Garcia got loose with a pass from Sarah Homan and was able to beat the keeper to push the score to 2-0.
Both teams in the second half tightened up the defensive efforts and kept the score at 2-0.
Madison Fordyce accounted for four saves in the match and is credited with the shutout.
