Chris Kroll (Sergeant Bluff, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his basketball career at Northwestern College in the fall of 2017.
Kroll is a 6'1" point guard who has played three years for Sergeant Bluff-Luton High School heading into his senior season. Already a two-year starter, Kroll averaged 15.5 points, three assists and two rebounds and earned all-conference honors as a junior. He shot 36% from the three-point arc and also ranked fourth in class 3A with 61 steals. Kroll was named to the all-Sioux City Journal and all-Northwest Iowa teams. As a sophomore, Kroll averaged 16 points per game and drained 43 three-pointers. A member of the National Honor Society, Kroll plans to major in education at Northwestern and is the son of Brian and Nicole.
"Chris is a hard worker and proven winner," commented head Northwestern men's basketball coach Kris Korver. "He is a high character young man who loves to compete and whose coaches praise him as a student, teammate and person. Chris defends well, shoots the ball effectively and is a versatile combo guard. We are thrilled to have him join our program next year."
