Raiders Defeat The Defenders

Northwestern College played Dordt College Wednesday afternoon. The Raiders picked up a 2-0 decision. With the win Northwestern improve to 6-8 (3-2) on the season.  With the loss the Defenders fall to 5-8 (1-3). 

Northwestern delivered with a score ten minutes into the match when, Tyler Limmer scored off a pass from Wesley Lockwood.

Tyler Limmer was not done scoring when at the 15 minute mark he picked up his second goal of the match and his eighth on the year. 

This is Limmer's third multi-goal game of the year. Raiders are 4-1 in games where Limmer scores.

Northwestern took a 2-0 lead into half.

Dordt never was able to get their offense going with great defensive play by Nikolas Agundez, Justin Baird and rest of Raider defenders kept the Defenders off the scoreboard.

Matt Scott received the start in goal and delivered with five saves and a shutout performance.

Northwestern is 6-1 when scoring two or more goals in a match, 0-7 when scoring less than two.

Northwestern is 3-2 in conference play and tied with Concordia for fourth overall in the standings.
