Maelee Beacom was hired as Northwestern's Director of Athletic Creative Content in August 2026.
As a student at Wayne State College (Neb.), Beacom served on the sports information staff, working on graphics, photography, video, and social media content for the Wildcats' 15 sport programs. Last summer, she was a football video intern at the University of Nebraska, managing video coverage of Husker summer practices and head coach Matt Rhule's recruiting camps.
Beacom also spent time as a promotions and marketing intern with the Lincoln Saltdogs, where she worked in game day operations.
She was a four-year member of the Wayne State cross country and track and field programs, where she ran in the 1500m, mile, 3K, 5K, and 10K.
Originally from Hooper, Nebraska, Beacom graduated from Wayne State with a degree in sports media.
