Alex Schussman

Alex Schussman was announced as Northwestern's assistant men's soccer coach in March 2025.

“I am very excited for the opportunity to return to Northwestern as a coach,” Schussman commented. “My time as a student-athlete had a large impact on my life, and I hope to create a similar experience for current and future players.”

Schussman played four years in the Raider soccer program, appearing in 71 matches and starting each match in his junior and senior seasons. In his time on the pitch, he netted 18 goals with eight assists and over 2,500 minutes played. While Schussman was at Northwestern, the Raiders posted a record of 41-31-3, finishing in the top-three of the GPAC twice.

After graduating from Northwestern in 2019, Schussman worked in various roles at First National Bank in his hometown of Bemidji, Minnesota. He holds a degree in sport management, also obtaining a minor in coaching.
