Julia (Goodburn) Vander Stelt transitioned into her Assistant Athletic Trainer role in the August 2023, after two seasons of coaching the cheer and dance teams. She will work primarily with the Red Raider baseball, women's basketball, cheer and dance, and volleyball teams; while assisting in the athletic training clinic during the days.
In her transition to the athletic training department, Vander Stelt will work with cheer and dance athletes in a different facet while making yet a larger impact to the Northwestern athletic department in working with a wide variety of Red Raider student-athletes.
“I’m looking forward to stepping into this new role and having the opportunity to work with more student-athletes,” noted Vander Stelt. “I’m sad to be done being the assistant dance and cheer coach but excited to work with them in a different setting.”
Vander Stelt graduated from Northwestern in May 2021 with a degree in Athletic Training. While at Northwestern, she was a four-year member of the Northwestern dance team, dancing for current head coach Taylor Decker. She is married to her husband, Jack and her favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:12-13.
