Taylor Harvey joins the Northwestern Women's Soccer program as a graduate assistant after a four-year playing career at NCAA Division II North Greenville University in Tigerville, South Carolina. She joins the Raider women's soccer staff to continue the efforts of "Honoring Christ through excellence in athletics."
While serving as the graduate assistant coach under head coach Shannon Andringa, Harvey will be working on her master's degree in Social Media Marketing from Liberty University.Â
"I chose Northwestern because I felt led to stay involved in a Christian college. Northwestern also felt like an easy decision when it came to the GA process. It made me feel at ease and that gave me confidence this is where I should be," said Harvey. "God is the most important thing to me and I want to share that in any way I can, especially in sports. So, Northwestern helps do just that."
While a Crusader, Harvey was a four-time All-Conference Academic performer, while being nominated for All-America scholar honors. Through an adversity filled 2020-21 season, the Crusaders were runners up in the Conference Carolinas conference tournament and on the brink of receiving an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament if Covid had not cut the field. She was also the recipient of the North Greenville women's soccer Christ pre-eminent award.Â
Her favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 31:30, "Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised" (ESV).Â
If not coaching, you could find Harvey traveling in a van across the country.
