Kelli Johnson

Kelli (Herman) Johnson was announced as the tenth women's soccer coach at Northwestern College in May 2023 and enters her second season with the Red Raiders heading into the 2024 season.

Prior to Northwestern, Herman served as the head girls soccer coach at Sioux Falls Lincoln High School (Sioux Falls, S.D.) from 2018-23 and coached at the Dakota Alliance Soccer Club from 2019-23.

Herman was a four-year letter winner for South Dakota State (2007-11) and was named a First Team All-Conference performer in the Summit League her senior season in 2011. Additionally, she was named a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) All-American in women's soccer in 2012. 

A native of Sioux City, Iowa, Herman graduated from South Dakota State University in 2012 with a bachelor of science degree in education. In 2014, she earned her master's degree in sports and recreational studies. She comes to Orange City with her two bulldogs - Tank & Tillie. When not on the soccer pitch coaching, Herman enjoys being outdoors, playing golf and soccer, DIY projects, and traveling.
