Taylor Deniston is entering her second season as a graduate assistant for the Red Raiders women's basketball program.
"I didn't attend Northwestern as an undergraduate student, but from an outsider's perspective the staff and students are what makes Northwestern so special," said Deniston. "Everyone you meet has such a sweet soul and shows true compassion for others, just like Christ did."
Before joining the staff at Northwestern, Deniston was an assistant for her hometown's middle school team in Holcomb, Kansas.
Deniston is a Tabor College graduate (2019) with a degree in Business Administration and Sports Marketing and Management. She is currently pursuing an MBA from Fort Hays State University and plans to complete that in the fall of 2022. While at Tabor, Deniston had a standout playing career earning All-KCAC freshman team and All-KCAC awards three seasons. She also was a 1,000 point scorer for the Bluejays.
Her favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11, "This has always been my favorite verse, it reminds me that when times get tough He always has a plan and that things will get better."
Deniston has two younger siblings, Brooklyn and Brody. She is the daughter of Chad and Amanda Deniston.
