High School: played five years for Simley High School; hit .400 with a pair of home runs and eight stolen bases in leading her team to the postseason; earned all-conference honors for the second consecutive year and received the Silver Slugger Award, awarded to the player with the best batting average; led team to state tournament as a sophomore.
