Mike Vorwald

Vorwald is in his third season as an assistant coach with the Red Raiders.

Vorwald played the point guard position for the Red Raiders from 2010-12. He dished out 133 assists during his freshman year and accumulated 225 total assists (25th most all time) while in a Raider uniform. Vorwald was a part of two Raider teams that earned NAIA Division II National Tournament bids. 

Vorwald completed his degree from the University of Sioux Falls in 2014. and has taught third grade and coached baseball and basketball back in his hometown in Worthington, Minn.

“I am excited to be a part of the winning tradition here at Northwestern which also focuses on building up Godly young men” commented Vorwald. “I am also excited to have a chance to grow in my own faith while daily being involved in Red Raider Basketball. I look forward to recruiting and look forward to investing in the lives of the young men in this special journey we call Northwestern.”
