Ben Coldiron

Ben Coldiron was promoted to assistant coach on Brian Wede's coaching staff in 2025 after two seasons as a graduate assistant. He also serves as the facility manager in the Rowenhorst Student Center.

Coldiron joined the Red Raider baseball staff as a graduate assistant in August 2023, working primarily with the pitching staff. In the 2024 season, the Raider pitchers combined for a program-record 421 strikeouts, also posting strong numbers in 2025 with 323 strikeouts.

Coldiron came to Northwestern after a four-year career at fellow Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) school, Concordia (Neb.) where he pitched for four years for the Bulldogs.

The Gretna, Neb. native appeared in 26 games as Bulldog, throwing 43.0 innings. In a combined starter and relief roll throughout his career at Concordia, Coldiron made four starts and held a 3-1 record on the mound.
 
Coldiron is a 2023 graduate of Concordia University (Neb.) with a degree in psychology with a minor in sports psychology. He completed a master's degree in athletic administration from Concordia in 2025.
