High School: lettered four years for both the Roland-Story High School cross country and track and field teams; four-time state qualifier in cross country; finished ninth at the state meet as a sophomore with a school record 4K time of 15:27; also placed 15th at the state meet as a junior and 33rd as a senior; qualified for state in track and field three times as a member of the 4x800m relay team.
