Raiders Begin Season at Augustana Twilight

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – After the race was pushed back after 10 p.m. due to heat, the Northwestern women's cross country team remained focused to turn in a 12^th-place finish at the Augustana Twilight.

Emily DeGroot led the Raiders with a personal best mark of 18:10.6, finishing 21^st in the field. Kayden Spencer followed behind in 56^th, crossing the finish line in 19:03.5. In her first collegiate race, Teagan Tracy ran a sub-20 minute 5K, finishing 107^th in the 350-runner field in 19:52.2.

South Dakota won the event, scoring 33 points. The Coyotes' Geneva Timmerman won the race with a time of 16:59.0.
