Offensive Outburst Leads to Home Win

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Emerson Brazones netted his first career hat trick as Northwestern cruised to a 6-0 win over Waldorf at De Valois Stadium.

The Warriors tested Edoardo Alessandrini early, while the Red Raiders generated looks of their own through Ben Nederpel and Emerson Brazones. The Raiders continued to press with attempts from Ben Schoenherr, Conal Shields and Nederpel before Brazones scored at 31' off a Conal Shields assist to put the Red Raiders ahead 1-0. Gonzalo Domingo sent a header wide at 34', and Francesco Jimenez stopped late shots from Daniel Lindahl and Joao Mbala as the Raiders carried the 1-0 lead into halftime.

Beginning with Diego Quintero's corner kick at 49', the Raiders put three shots toward goal before Brazones scored at 51' and Zwinkels followed at 52:07 off an assist from Rasmus Morrison. Brazones added another goal at 56' to complete a hat trick, and Morrison finished a feed from Brazones at 61' to make it 5-0. Daniel Lindahl added one more to the Raiders' total with just over a minute to play, as Northwestern picked up a 6-0 win under the lights.
