Tofteland Named GPAC Runner of the Week After PR Performance

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Northwestern sophomore Caleb Tofteland has been named the GPAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, presented by Hauff/Mid-America Sports.

"Caleb has looked good in his workouts the last few weeks. He is driven and running with confidence," head coach Scott Bahrke said. "He has also been great about encouraging his teammates during our workouts. I was happy for him to run a PR in his first 8K of the season."

Tofteland was the top NAIA finisher at the Augustana Invitational, placing 11th in the field. He ran a PR time of 24:43.1, which is second all-time in Northwestern 8K history.

The Raiders will be in action again at the Dordt Holiday Inn Express Classic on Saturday, October 10.
