Dreckman Named Fan Experience and Marketing Assistant at Northwestern College

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern College athletics has hired Emily Dreckman as its Fan Experience and Marketing Assistant. Dreckman will oversee game presentation, fan engagement initiatives, promotional planning, and live event production for Northwestern's home athletic events

"We are excited to have Emily join our staff and elevate the fan experience at Northwestern College," said Director of Athletic Communications Bradley Laackmann. "Emily's experience in live event production and community engagement will be a tremendous asset to our department, and I look forward to seeing her implement new initiatives to build our brand presence at events."

During her time as a student at Minnesota State University, Mankato, Dreckman gained experience as an athletics department intern and adjunct graduate assistant, where she assisted with in-game entertainment, coordinated promotional giveaways and music playlists, executed game scripts, and managed video board content.

"I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to join Northwestern College athletics. Sports have had an impact on my life for as long as I can remember, shaping me into who I am both personally and now professionally, and I am excited to give back by helping create an atmosphere that enhances every game day experience for all students, fans, athletes, and the loyal community," Dreckman said. "I look forward to working alongside such a passionate staff, bringing new ideas, building connections, and making every Raider home event memorable for all!"

In addition to her roles in live event production, Dreckman was a volunteer with Kiwanis Lights, MyPlace, and Little Dunkers Basketball, where she focused on youth mentorship, event coordination, and basketball coaching.

Dreckman played three seasons of collegiate basketball, spending one season with Minnesota State and two seasons at Kirkwood Community College. She was a member of Kirkwood's 2024 NJCAA National Championship team and was a two-time Academic All-American.

A 2026 graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a degree in sport management, Dreckman resides in Marcus, Iowa.
