Kalvelage Named GPAC Athlete of the Week After Record-Breaking Performance

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Braden Kalvelage, a senior from Hastings, Nebraska, has been named GPAC Track Athlete of the Week for Week 2, presented by Hauff-MidAmerica Sports.

Kalvelage broke the school record in the 200m with a time of 21.16 seconds, securing a dominant victory in a competitive field of 51 athletes by over half a second. In addition to his success on the track, Kalvelage excelled in the long jump, achieving the "A" standard with a mark of 7.56 meters. This jump currently stands as the best in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) this season.

This accolade marks Kalvelage's fourth GPAC weekly award of the season.

The Raiders will compete next weekend at the Sioux City Relays.
