The Red Raiders responded in the bottom half of the inning, as Grant Rychnovsky singled and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Bryce Click, but the inning concluded without a run.

In the eighth inning, the Raiders finally broke the deadlock. Calab Caciari singled to right field and then stole second. A throwing error by the catcher allowed him to advance to third and then score the game's only run to walk it off in extras.
