Parmelee Closes Out Incredible Senior Campaign

Wichita, Kan. — Northwestern senior Noah Parmelee concluded an outstanding season for the Raiders at the NAIA Wrestling National Championships in Wichita, Kansas, finishing the tournament with a 1–2 record while competing in a deep and talented bracket.

Entering the national tournament as the No. 9 seed, Parmelee faced a tough opening-round matchup against Eli Peyton of University of the Cumberlands. Despite a hard-fought effort, Parmelee dropped the bout to fall into the consolation bracket.

Parmelee responded in impressive fashion in his next match, earning a technical fall victory over Lucas Hall of Midway University. The dominant win kept his All-American hopes alive and showcased the offensive pace that defined his season.

In the following round, Parmelee squared off against the No. 7 seed Reese Courtney of Grand View University. In a tightly contested match, Parmelee came up just short in a heartbreaking loss, ending his tournament run.

Parmelee finishes his senior season as a GPAC champion with an impressive 21–5 record and leaves his mark as one of the most productive offensive wrestlers in program history. During the year, he was ranked as high as No. 7 nationally and set a new program record for single-season match points with 386.
