American State Bank Raider Athletes of the Week

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern College athletics has named men's track and field student-athlete Braden Kalvelage and women's tennis student-athlete Matilde Di Martino as the Raider Athletes of the Week, presented by American State Bank, for their performances during the week of March 30th.

MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Braden Kalvelage, Men's Track & Field

Kalvelage (Sr., Hastings, Neb.) continues his incredible senior year with a program record and national qualifying jump.
The senior broke the school record in the 200m, and won the event by over half a second, with a time of 21.16.
Kalvelage's 7.56m long jump hit the national qualifying "A" standard and currently sits first in the GPAC.

FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Matilde Di Martino, Women's Tennis

Di Martino (Fr., Maracay, Venezuela) was undefeated as the Raiders' no. 1 in singles and doubles in two non-conference matches over the weekend.
The freshman made quick work in singles against Central, winning 6-0 and 6-1, before taking the win against Coe 6-4 and 7-5.
Di Martino, paired with Pietra Ferreira, swept their doubles matches with 6-2 victories over the Dutch and the Kohawks.
