Kalvelage’s Record-Breaking Weekend Leads to GPAC Award

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Northwestern senior Braden Kalvelage has been named the GPAC Field Athlete of the Week, presented by Hauff-MidAmerica Sports. It is the third time this season that Kalvelage has been named the GPAC Field Athlete of the Week.

Kalvelage was part of two record-breaking performances last weekend, winning the long jump at the Concordia Classic with a school-record mark of 7.62m. He also opened the 4x400m relay on a team that broke the school record at 3:20.00.

Kalvelage's long jump mark is currently third in the NAIA.

Northwestern will compete again this weekend, splitting the team between the Wayne State Open and Husker Invitational.
