Van Kalsbeek Selected as NAIA Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Northwestern forward Jesse Van Kalsbeek has been selected as the NAIA Offensive Player of the Week, the national office announced today. It is the third time this season that Van Kalsbeek has received a weekly national honor.

Van Kalsbeek posted two 30-point outings in a 2-0 week for Northwestern. He recorded double-doubles in both games, contributing 31 points and 10 boards in Wednesday's win at Briar Cliff before scoring 36 points with 10 rebounds on Saturday at Mount Marty.

A sophomore from Sheldon, Iowa, Van Kalsbeek currently leads the NAIA in points per game (28.5) and is second in rebounding average (12.0).

The Raiders will host Morningside tomorrow night for a 7:45 p.m. tip-off.
