Potthoff Earns National Setter Honor

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Northwestern sophomore setter Nyah Potthoff has been named the NAIA Setter of the Week, the national office announced today.

"Our team had a great weekend with getting two ranked wins," head coach Kyle Van Den Bosch said. "Nyah did a great job of getting all of our attackers going in both matches. This is a well-deserved honor for Nyah."

Potthoff recorded 42 assists, four kills, two service aces, 12 digs, and four total blocks in a 3-1 home win against No. 11 Midland on Friday. She then contributed 38 assists, a service ace, and eight digs in Northwestern's sweep of No. 3 Concordia. Potthoff is fifth in the NAIA in assists per set (10.63).

It is the second time this season that a Northwestern player has received NAIA Player of the Week honors after Stella Winterfeld was named the national Attacker of the Week earlier this season.

Northwestern has one match this week, traveling to Waldorf tomorrow night.
