Bennett Named GPAC Special Teams Player of the Week

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Northwestern sophomore kicker Gianna Bennett has been named the GPAC Special Teams Player of the Week, presented by Hauff/Mid-America Sports.

"Gianna did a tremendous job with our kicking duties on Saturday," head coach Matt McCarty said. "She was great score kicking and did a great job helping our kickoff team set our defense up with excellent field position."

Bennett went 7-for-7 on PATs and converted on a 21-yard field goal in Northwestern's 52-0 win over Briar Cliff. Bennett is now four points away from breaking the female all-time scoring record in college football.

The Raiders will be back home this Saturday, hosting Doane for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.
