Northwestern Athletics Partners with Ampere Design on Strategic Football Stadium & Athletic Complex Feasibility Plan

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – The Northwestern College Department of Athletics is pleased to announce a partnership with industry-leading Ampere Design on a strategic football stadium and athletic complex feasibility plan.

The chief purpose of the partnership between NWC and Ampere will be to develop a comprehensive strategic master plan for current athletic facilities at De Valois Stadium as well as upgrades associated with accessibility, parking, fan amenities, and player facilities.

"NWC has a rich athletic history, Ampere is honored to be a part of this project," said Matt Keys, Principal Director of Sports Design for Ampere. "We are excited to bring our small college sports expertise to the partnership in order to create a bold and financially responsible plan for the future of NWC athletics."

Throughout the process, the focus will be to identify ways to enhance the student-athlete experience and foster a greater sense of pride in NWC Athletics within the Northwestern College community through its first-class athletic facilities.

"This is a very important step that we are taking in athletics, both presently and for our future, in securing this partnership with Ampere," said NWC Vice President for Athletics, Tony Hoops. "Ampere's reputation and portfolio of completed and ongoing projects stands out strongly, making them exciting partners in this venture."

The partnership will see Ampere and NWC collaborate to identify and create preliminary designs for any needed enhancement and recommendation to De Valois Stadium.

"Athletics has such a major role to play in a university's culture, student life engagement and involvement as well as community pride and support," added Hoops. "A key contributing factor for athletics to have that profoundly positive impact is through its athletic facilities. It is vitally important to ensure that our athletic facilities remain competitive at the least while striving for superiority among those of our peers in our conference and region."
