Browning Added to Volleyball Coaching Staff

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Charity Browning has been hired to join the Red Raider volleyball staff as an assistant coach.

"I am very excited to be part of the staff here at Northwestern College," Browning said. "It is a fantastic program, and I am looking forward to being part of the success of the Red Raiders and learning from the leadership of Coach Van Den Bosch."

Browning comes to Northwestern from Lindsey Wilson College where she coached for two seasons. During her tenure, the Blue Raiders advanced to the Mid-South Conference championship in 2023 and made an NAIA tournament appearance in 2024. Her role as assistant coach involved recruiting and scouting, running camps, and serving as the head coach of the junior varsity program, among other duties.

In addition to her coaching role, Browning has served as a tournament director with Vette City Events since 2021, serving as the primary contact for tournament operations. Prior to beginning her collegiate coaching career, she was the head coach at Adair County High School for two years and coached the Central Kentucky Volleyball Academy club team for three seasons.

"We are excited to add Charity to our staff," head coach Kyle Van Den Bosch commented. "Her experience as an NAIA college player, a former high school head coach, and an NAIA assistant coach will be a great addition for our players and program. Charity is passionate about mentoring our players in their walk with the Lord."

A 2021 graduate of Lindsey Wilson, Browning was a four-time Mid-South Conference All-Academic selection and an NAIA Scholar Athlete during her time as a student-athlete, receiving a degree in human service and counseling.
