Grant Guidry and women's track and field student-athlete
Tierney Huss as the Raider Athletes of the Week, presented by American State Bank, for their performances during the week of April 7th.
MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Grant Guidry, Baseball
- Guidry (Fr., Yantis, Texas) batted an average of .562 over four games with nine hits, seven RBIs, four runs, and three home runs.
- The freshman went 4-for-4 with 3 RBIs and his second home run of the weekend in Friday's win over Waldorf.
- Guidry was perfect in the field over the weekend and now bats a .347 on the year with just 12 strikeouts.
FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Tierney Huss, Women's Track and Field
- Huss (Fr., Orange City, Iowa) won the 200m at the USD Early Bird in Vermillion with a time of 25.10
- The freshman would also take third in the 100m, finishing as the top NAIA runner, with a time of 12.16.
- Huss's times are now top 25 in the NAIA for the 100m (21st) and the 200m (22nd).
